Apartment and tower moves

The building has rules. We know them.

Nearly half of Auburn's homes are units, and the towers around the stations keep going up. In a tower, the move is not about the truck. It is about the lift, the dock and the slot the building gives you.

The single most expensive mistake in a tower move is missing your booked lift slot. Most buildings make you book the service lift, hang protective blankets, and use a loading dock with set hours. Get the timing wrong and you can lose a whole day, or a bond fee.

So we plan the tower move backwards from the lift booking. We help you fill in the building's form, we confirm the dock hours and the lift car dimensions, and we bring the trolleys and blankets that shared floors and lifts need. The move happens inside the window, cleanly.

What a tower move usually needs

  • Two movers and a truck for a typical unit, at our apartment rate
  • Help completing the building's lift-booking form
  • Lift and shared-floor protection, and the right trolleys for a dock
  • Timing planned around the strata move-in or move-out window
  • A move-in plan for a brand-new tower, where nothing is set up yet

New tower? First move in?

Auburn has an active pipeline of new apartment buildings, which means a steady run of first move-ins with fresh loading-dock rules and body-corporate paperwork. We have done that dance, and we will walk you through it.

The lift-booking checklist

When you ask your building for a move slot, these are the things worth pinning down. Bring the answers to your callback and we will slot the move in around them.

  • Which lift is the service lift, and how do you book it
  • The lift car dimensions and door opening (this decides the big pieces)
  • Loading dock hours and whether the dock needs booking too
  • Whether the building supplies lift blankets or you bring your own
  • Any deposit or move fee the strata charges, and the move-in window
