Sweet Auburn Moving Co. is a removals business built around one idea: the local move is a small leg, but the freight is irreplaceable, so it deserves the same care as the move that got you here.
The name is not an accident
Auburn takes its name from Oliver Goldsmith's line, "Sweet Auburn! loveliest village of the plain", from a poem about leaving a place you love. It fits the suburb almost too well. Auburn is one of Sydney's most culturally diverse suburbs, and a great many people here have already made the single biggest move of their life: a home, carried across an ocean.
Next to that, a move from Berala to Lidcombe is nothing. Except it is not nothing, because the things in the truck are the same irreplaceable things. That is the whole idea behind this business: we treat the short move with the care the long one deserved.
What we mean by care
Concrete things, not slogans. Blankets on the furniture and paper on the fragile. The narrow doorway measured before the day, not discovered on it. The heirloom carried by hand instead of rushed. The lift booked so the building never becomes the problem. Care is a set of small, deliberate decisions, and we make them.
What we mean by plain dealing
We price by the hour at rates you can read on this site, and we quote no other figure. We do not invent a "from" price, promise a delivery hour we cannot control, or add a fee you were not told about. If a move is going to be awkward, we tell you before the day, not after. Honesty is cheaper for everyone in the end.
